For my assessments I decided to use Kahoot and socrative. I decided to use kahooty because my children love to use kahoot and look at how they score compared to their classmates. They love the competition of kahoot and they don’t even realize they are being assessed. This was my first time using Socrative and it seemed simple until I got inside and couldn’t figure out how to add questions to my exit ticket. I decided to use an exit ticket in socrative because this a quick way to get an idea if the information that was taught during the day was a success or if more time needs to be spent. You can ask one question and have all of the students respond before leaving class and this gives you an idea of how to proceed with the lesson the next day by just a simple question. Also students knowing that they will have to answer a question in order to exit keeps them a little more engaged in the lesson.
I too used Socrative, I found it to be simple enough and I liked it. When you talk about exit tickets, what is that referring to? There is undoubtedly lots of lingo I don’t know as I have spent the last 7 years teaching at the college level, so I always ask when there is a term I don’t recognize. Good work on your assessments!

I loved your Kahoot! I even answered a couple of questions myself. I have used Kahoot! a lot in the classroom with my students but I always use the premade ones. I totally agree with what you said about competition between students while using Kahoot! They absolutely love it, its a fun way to asses students without them dreading it. 🙂
